@Peter.Chaushev @nathanletwory @Jonish Hi Peter, et al, I need help right away. I’m doing a job for a new client and I’m not able to start my Vray. I’ve been through this once before, and now it’s happening again. I need a stable piece of software. I do not want to go off to Thea or whatever, but I need to know this is going to be there for me when i need to do my work. The text above is not a recommendation to remove V-Ray Online License Server by Chaos Software Ltd from your PC, we are not saying that V-Ray Online License Server by Chaos Software Ltd is not a good application for your computer. This page only contains detailed instructions on how to remove V-Ray Online License Server in case you want to. The V-Ray uses a simplified licensing system which means you will only need a quantity of 4 licenses (two dual CPU hosts). This also includes the licensing for all the application and database agents run on the virtual machines. This does not include any licensing for physical clients (beyond the backup server). Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.
Licenses are found but they do not match the V-Ray version you have installed. All licenses are in use. Page can not be found. The license server is not active. Windows: Go to Start Chaosgroup Launch V-Ray License Server or Mac: Programs Chaosgroup Launch V-Ray License server. If the license server settings are correct, make sure that the license server is really running on that machine (if the license server is specified as localhost or 127.0.0.1, this is your workstation). If the license server is running on the specified machine, try to connect to it manually from a web browser.
- Something is wrong with the V-Ray License server;
- Your license has expired;
- You are logged in with the wrong account;
- The installed version of V-Ray is different from your license;
- You are offline.
Execute the following test.
- Start your webbrowser
- Type in the address bar: http://localhost:30304/
Several results can occur:
- Page can not be found.
- Page shows big blue letters: 'Enable Online licensing'.
- Page shows products but when you click one of them, no licenses are listed.
- Online Licensing menu is green but the page shows 'no licenses available'.
- Licenses are found but they do not match the V-Ray version you have installed.
- All licenses are in use.
How to solve.
1. Page can not be found.
The license server is not active. [Windows:] Go to Start > Chaosgroup > Launch V-Ray License Server or [Mac:] Programs > Chaosgroup > Launch V-Ray License server.Then re-access localhost:30304 and check that it is working now. You might have to log in. If still no page is found, re-download de V-Ray license server and reinstall.
2. Page shows 'Enable online licensing'
Click the text 'Enable online licensing' and enter your credentials.
3. Page shows products but when you click one of them, no licenses are listed.
Probably you owned temporary licenses that have now expired. Contact your reseller to buy a new license.4. Online Licensing menu is green but the page shows 'no licenses available'.
Either your temporary licenses have expired or you are logged in with the wrong account. Click the 'online licensing' menu and choose 'disable'. Now click it again and use the correct credentials to log in. If you have forgotten your credentials, contact your reseller.5. Licenses are found but they do not match the V-Ray version you have installed.
When checking your license, pay attention to the following:- version number
- license type
License type V-Ray licenses are available in three flavours: Advanced/Commercial, Educational (EDU), Not For Resale (NFR). The latter two are explicitly mentioned as such in the license overview. If your license mentions no special type, you have a commercial license. In the download section of the Chaosgroup website you can filter by license type before downloading.
6. All licenses are in use.
If multiple person in one company use V-Ray licenses, it can occur that there are more people than licenses. If you run into this issue often, consider buying extra licenses from your reseller.You are offline
If you know beforehand that you are going to be offline, you can borrow licenses for offline use. Open the Online licensing menu and click 'Use licenses offline'. Follow the wizard. Licenses can be borrowed for up to 14 days.This page provides information to help solve potential activation issues with the Licensing Server.

Overview
This page lists the possible reasons for License Server activation failure and the appropriate resolution steps. An activation failure means that the License Server could not establish a connection to your Chaos Group account and obtain licenses.
The connection could fail if:
- Your computer has no internet connection.
- A firewall is preventing the License Server from communicating with your Chaos Group account.
- Your proxy configuration is incorrect.
Please follow the steps below to resolve the problem.
Firewall
This section only affects Windows and macOS installations.
By default, the License Server installer adds a firewall exception to your system's settings. If you have opted to disable this setting while installing, or you have manually removed the firewall exception after the installation, this might prevent the License Server from establishing a connection. You can either re-install the License Server and make sure the option Add firewall exception is enabled in the installer, or you can manually add a firewall exception to your system's settings.
Re-install the License Server
Vray License Server Not Running Command
Re-Install the License Server and make sure the option Add firewall exception is enabled. This option can be changed by clicking Customize after agreeing to the License Agreement, but before installing.

Proxy Settings
The License Server uses your operating system's Internet configuration settings by default. In some cases, it might still be required to change the proxy settings in the License Server settings. If your computer is using a proxy server to connect to the Internet, you'll need to contact your Network Administrator and obtain the server address, port, and eventually credentials.

- Open a browser window.
- Type http://127.0.0.1:30304.
Note: If the License server is not running on your local machine, type in the IP address of the machine where it's running instead of 'localhost'. For example: 10.0.0.100:30304 - Click on the burger menu in the upper-right corner and choose Settings.
- Fill in your proxy configuration. You might need to contact your Network Administrator if you're not sure what your proxy configuration is.
No Internet Connection
The License Server requires Internet connection. To check if your machine has an internet connection, try loading any webpage in your browser. If that fails, then your computer has an internet connection problem. Contact your Internet Service Provider to solve this problem.
