There's the PRX plugin and using a patcher on the ISO. I highly suggest using the PRX plugin because it is easier to download, copy and replace a small patch update (around 9Mb) than the whole patched iso (1Gb+).
NOTE: I also added the MHP3rd Patcher v1.6.2 since there are a lot of people that can't make the plugin to work. I don't understand why they are having difficulty though :hmmm:
Secondly, make sure that you use an untouched ISO for patching.
I think you can make use of a previously patched ISO but using an untouched version is recommended.
One way to know that you have an untouched ISO is by looking at the size of the file. The size should be exactly 1,207,140,352 bytes.
Lucky for you I have included an Untouched ISO so you won't have to look for one anymore.

Installing the Plugin!

The plugin will NOT work with data installs. Delete any data install that exists before starting. It WILL work with UMDs, but thanks to data installs causing more problems than they solve, it's a good idea to rip the UMD to an ISO as it's so much faster.
The plugin is known to work with M33, Prometheus and PRO (6.20, 6.35, 6.39, 6.60) CFWs. It should work on any CFW that supports regular PRX plugins. We have yet to see any plugins conflict with this one.

Connect your PSP to your PC via USB.
Extract the archive (including the folder) to the seplugins folder located at the root of your memory stick. If the seplugins folder doesn't exist, create one.
To enable the plugin on your PSP, open the seplugins folder and locate game.txt and open it with Notepad. Again, if it doesn't exist create one.
Copy one of these lines and paste it in game.txt

NOTE: The MHP3rd Patch v3.8 has two Data.Bin files. The one with JP is for patching pre-patched ISOs to the original Japanese texts.
If you are unsure on whether your ISO is untouched or not, you may use this with the MHP3rd Patcher v1.6.2 to patch it all back to the original texts.

!Installing the Patch!
Once the plugin is successfully installed, all you have to do is extract MHP3RD_DATA.BIN from a patch download to the plugin's mhp3rd_loaderfolder.
When done, these files have to be in your memory stick:
After making sure that the above files are present, you have to reboot your PSP. Only then can you finally play the game
NOTE: It's safe to leave the plugin enabled when using other games. You can just let it stay enabled and it won't bring you any harm.
If you have done everything by the letter then congratulations!
If not, then goodluck finding your mistake.
!Updating the Patch!

To update the patch, simply overwrite the old MHP3RD_DATA.BIN file on your PSP with a new one and relaunch the game. Done!Download Monster Hunter Portable 3rd Psp Patch Italy
(This applies if you used the PRX plugin to patch your game. If you used a patcher however, I don't think it will work.)

!Using the Patcher!
Extract MHP3rd Patcher v1.6.2 .exe
Put the Patcher and the latest MHP3rd_DATA.BIN in the same directory.
Run the Patcher and locate your untouched MHP3rd ISO.
Let it patch. (It shouldn't take more than a few seconds)
After patching, mount your PSP to your PC via USB cable.
Copy the patched MHP3rd ISO to your ISO folder and voila~ You are done.
